We are looking for a I&HCD Training Specialist to join us on a Hybrid basis with travel throughout UK & Ireland as well as Europe.

To ensure KEA maintains the highest standard of Kumon instruction in all its study centres in line with best practice and the IPG system, this role is responsible for designing, implementing, co-ordinating and facilitating instruction development in UK&I and as requested across KEA; including, Associate instruction development and training, Instructor development and training, and instruction projects.
 
As an I&HCD Training Specialist you will need:
  • To design, develop, plan, organise, monitor and regularly review training sessions in a timely manner that meets business needs both for Instructors and Associates within UK&I, and across Kumon Europe and Africa countries when requested. This includes but is not limited to, Orientation Meetings, New Instructor Trainings, Re-trainings, Follow up training, Kumon Instructor Trainings, and UNAMTP trainings.
  • To create an annual schedule for trainings and to provide, implement and facilitate training to Kumon Instructors, Instructor trainees and Associates as per the annual schedule and to add trainings as needed to ensure development of Instructors and Associates.
  • To be responsible with the Team Administrator and other team members for the administration, upkeep of records and development of administrative processes of trainings.
  • To attend Instructor centres to support and observe them and their students, with the intention of understanding and reviewing the effectiveness of trainings provided.  As well as to research best practice and present findings to team.
  • To achieve the set instruction goals and company strategy, to undertake, plan, develop, report on and complete assigned projects, in the capacity assigned, such as, leader, member or other, in a proactive, timely manner within the timeframe outlined.
  • To assist the line manager in the development and implementation of training strategies, policies and procedures that meet company needs.
  • To update the line manager and other personnel from time to time as may be required regarding the progress on the projects and trainings, for example, including both qualitative and quantitative information as necessary. Either in meetings, via email or through the maintenance of records of the projects assigned in an accessible way.
  • To continue to develop a deeper instructional understanding of the Instruction Principles and Guide (IPG) system and the Kumon Method of instruction, through continuous self-development via centre visits, worksheet study, instruction of students (including diagnostic tests and parent communication), attendance of trainings, discussions.
  • To run and supervise a Voluntary Study Group (VSG) or Worksheet Study Group (WSG) to support Instructor and Associate development, when requested or as per company strategy.
  • To support Area Managers and field staff with any queries they may have regarding instruction and the IPG system.
  • To produce articles and various internal publications to support the development of instructional understanding across Kumon Europe and Africa, as requested or as per company strategy.
  • To conduct business trips across KEA, and other countries when requested, to facilitate trainings, attend meetings and support trainings, Orientation Meetings, and so on, as requested or as per company strategy.
  • To conduct research in training / learning techniques and provide finding to team and line manager as and when required.
  • To develop, produce, proofread, and regularly review training/learning materials as required.
  • To co-work with relevant teams and Associates to accomplish the above, including, those relevant teams and Associates in all companies across Kumon Europe and Africa.
  • To be proactive in everyway to ensure that Kumon develops and retains the highest level of quality Instructors.
  • To support the implementation of organisational change including structural, cultural and/or business planning changes within the organisation.
  • To ensure effective communications within the team and ensure Associates are kept informed about matters that are relevant to their work.
  • To attend supervision, training and meetings as and when required. There may be a necessity for these to be outside of normal working times.
  • To work with, abide to and positively promote all Kumon’s policies and procedures.
  • To maintain confidentiality at all times in accordance with data protection and privacy legislation.
  • To carry out all reasonable duties as and when requested by your line manager or any other senior management member.
