Hennika Khatri always knew she wanted to make a difference to the children in her local community and with Kumon, she believed she could achieve that.

Before becoming a Kumon Instructor, Varun worked in the corporate industry, managing and training hospitality and aviation professionals for 20 years. Varun had often thought about how he could become his own boss, so when the chance to take redundancy presented itself, he started to think seriously about how he could achieve his dream of running his own business.

Sangeeta Kumar is celebrating her 10-year anniversary as Instructor of the Kumon Ipswich Central Study Centre! Still as enthusiastic and passionate as she was a decade ago, Sangeeta shares with us her celebratory plans, and how it feels to make a difference as a local educator within her community.

Elizabeth Forrester first encountered Kumon as a teenager, when she took on a part-time job as a class assistant at her local centre. Following a ten-year career as a solicitor, she’s come full circle and back to Kumon; qualifying as an Instructor and now running her very own centre in the village of Lowton in Greater Manchester. We’ve been speaking with Elizabeth about changing career and how she feels about becoming her own boss.
